In our quest for meaning and purpose, we often look to external rules and regulations. Yet, beneath the surface of our everyday lives lies a deeper, unseen architecture—the immutable Laws of God. These aren't arbitrary decrees, but fundamental principles that govern the very fabric of existence, designed not to restrict, but to liberate. They are the essence of divine order, woven into the tapestry of creation, guiding us back to our true nature.
When we speak of "The Laws of God," we're delving into a wisdom that transcends dogma and denomination. It's a universal truth echoed across various spiritual traditions, each offering a unique lens through which to perceive this divine framework. Let's explore how three distinct yet harmonious sources—A Course in Miracles, the teachings of St. Germain, and the Holy Bible—illuminate these sacred principles.
Love: The Foremost Command
At the heart of God's Laws is the principle of Love. It's not merely an emotion, but the very essence of creation, the force that binds all things in perfect unity. A Course in Miracles emphasizes this profoundly, stating:
“The Kingdom of Heaven is the spirit’s right, whose beauty and dignity are far beyond doubt, beyond perception, and stand forever as the mark of the Love of God for His creations, who are wholly worthy of Him and only of Him. Nothing else is sufficiently worthy to be a gift for a creation of God Himself.” (ACIM, T-4.I.12:5-6)

"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live" (John 11:25 ESV).
“My word, which is the resurrection and the life, shall not pass away because life is eternal. You are the work of God, and His work is wholly lovable and wholly loving” (ACIM, T-1.III.2:2-3).

The I AM Discourses emphasize that the "I AM Presence" is the very essence of Life itself. "I live, move, and have my Being and all outer expression in the full opulence of God, made manifest every moment." Our conscious alignment with this "I AM" within us allows us to draw forth and manifest this perfect life in our experience and maintain continuous connection to this divine stream of vitality. The very declaration of "I AM the Life" aligns us with the eternal, vibrant energy that is God's gift.
“I raised the dead by knowing that life is an eternal attribute of everything that the living God created” - Jesus (ACIM, T-4.IV.11:7).
This law, unlike sin and death, liberates us into a new realm of spiritual vitality and freedom. It signifies that through divine connection, we are imbued with a life that transcends earthly limitations, leading to peace and true spiritual flourishing. To live by the Law of Life is to consciously choose vitality, health, and abundance, knowing that these are our divine inheritance.
The Law of One: Unity in Creation
Beyond individual expressions of love, there is the overarching Law of One, which speaks to the inherent unity of all creation. This law asserts that all beings and all things are interconnected, part of a single, divine whole. A Course in Miracles speaks directly to this non-dual reality: “All separation vanishes as holiness is shared. St. Germain's wisdom reminds us of the "Law of the Circle: 'What you send out returns to you.'" This is echoed in the Bible: "Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap" (Galatians 6:7 ESV). “Never forget, then, that you set the value on what you receive, and price it by what you give. God’s laws are always fair and perfectly consistent. By giving you receive.” (ACIM, T-9.II.11:1-4) “And as you have received, so must you give.” (ACIM, T-30.I.17:8), emphasizing the reciprocal nature of all interactions. Understanding this law empowers us to consciously choose our actions, knowing that we are always creating our future experience.
The Law of Mind (Attraction/Manifestation): This law speaks to the power of our thoughts and beliefs to shape our reality. The "I AM" teachings are particularly potent here, asserting, "You must know that you have the power through the 'I AM Presence' to consciously qualify your thought in whatever way you will." This highlights our inherent creative capacity in God. This aligns with the biblical promise, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7 ESV), implying that our focused intention and belief activate the universe's response.
